Winlink Wednesdays of Idaho Goals for 2023
Ø
To become
proficient on reporting local weather conditions via Winlink
Ø
Work with the
National Weather Service on how to incorporate Winlink weather reports into
their spotter program
Ø
To be
efficient in sending pictures via Winlink. These pictures could include weather
conditions and damage assessment
Ø
Learn and
use different features of Winlink
Ø
Provide
Winlink net reports to a website for all to see and to use social media to keep
amateur radio operators informed
Ø
Improve the
capability of using radio to send Winlink messages. This could include setting
up new RMS’s, improving individual ham radio operator capabilities, and provide
training.
Ø
Develop and
publish a Standard of Operations Plan (SOP) for the state of Idaho using
Winlink and amateur radio operators during emergencies and disasters
Ø
Develop a
“Just in Time” Winlink training package that can be handed out during
emergencies
Ø
Organize and
conduct a Winlink exercise for 2023
