To send a picture
Start a new message
Go to Attachments and the attachment tool will pop up then Select Add
Pick a picture from your computer and click Open The Item will be added to the list.
If the size is too large to send it will show the size in Red. The maximum size for Winlink is 120kb
You can resize the photo in Winlink. First click on Edit/Resize. The edit tool will open. In this tool you can Crop... Resize.... and rotate the photo.
To Crop first you will need to click on the photo and select the area to keep and then click Crop
To Resize click on the Resize button and it will show you the current size and a box to put in a new size. Then click Change Size and then click Save
Now click Save Changes
This will take you back to the Attachment tool.
If the size color is yellow it means it can be sent but will be large.
If there is no color that means the picture is a good size.
Click Finished and it will add the photo to your email.
120kb and above will be Red and cannot be sent via Winlink
80kb to 119kb will be Yellow
79kb and lower will have no color
